Ginning of Cotton Seed

Ginning of seed cotton: The freshly picked cotton has seeds in it is called seed cotton. After picking the cotton fiber has to be separated from seeds. The process by which the seeds are separated from the fiber is called ginning. There are mainly two types of ginning.

General Instructions for Final Inspection (Batching)

The general instructions for final inspection(Batching) are given below,
1. All pieces will be graded on the base of 40 points per 100 linear yards mapping will be done on each piece to insure proper grading. Do not count more than 4 points per one yard.
2. All defects must be recorded and marked in final inspection and an accurate account of points made to insure proper grading.

Zone of Garments

The zone of garments means to indicate the important part of garments. Zone of garments are divided into two types. These are,
  1. Zone-A.
  2. Zone-B.

Faults in Garments

Faults in garments are three types. These are:
  1. Critical fault.
  2. Major fault.
  3. Minor fault.
Critical fault: The faults present in garments lead the garments to be rejected directly are called critical fault. This garment should not pass for shipment.
Example:
a.       Hole in the garments.
b.      Shade variation of the garments fabric etc.
Major fault: The faults which are present in garments may not lead the garments be rejected rather after removing this faults garments are executed for shipment is called major fault.
Example:
a.       Spot in the front part.
b.      Seam puckering.
c.       Slipped stitch.
d.      Broken stitch etc.
Minor fault: The faults which are present in the garments cannot lead the garments be rejected rather if small quantity of this fault are present in the garment, garments can be accepted for shipment. This type of fault is called minor fault.
Example:
a.       Spot in the under part.
b.      Sewing problem in the under part etc.

Garments Inspection

The procedure through which the produced garments are checked to maintain the required quality level is called Garments Inspection.

  1. Comparatively production cost is low.

  5. Desizing, scouring, bleaching, dyeing and finishing could be done in the same machine.
  6. Investment cost is low to set up new garments dyeing project.
  7. Can be dyed small lots of garments.

Glass Fiber

A manufactured fiber in which the fiber forming substance in glass.
Types of Glass Fiber: The glasses most commonly used in making textile fibers are ‘E’ glasses and ‘C’ glasses.

Grading of White Jute Fiber

The following factors are considered for grading jute: color, length, fineness, luster, strength, cleanness.
  1. Bangla white special (BWS): White creamy color, finest, very good luster, clean and completely free from any defect.

The classification of fibers according to their physical characteristics such as strength, maturity, length, trash-content, fineness etc is known as Grading. Different countries have many different Grading for Cotton. Such as:

Ginning

The process of to separate the seeds from the cotton fiber is known as Ginning. And to separate the seeds from the cotton fiber without any damage of fibers is known as Ideal Ginning.
